We are The Johnston-Burnaby family.  We are a Canadian family of four and we love to travel! In our blog we will talk about where we’re going and what we learn. We embrace adventure whenever we get the chance! We are going to many extraordinary places including France, Italy, Egypt and India! We hope you enjoy our blog as much as we do making it!

My name’s Addy and I’m the eldest kid. I am 9 years old and have a passion for writing, singing, reading and animals!
My little bro Jake is 7 years old and loves rocks and crystals. If you give him a hammer and a rock he will start pounding!
My Mom Amy just quit her job and now reads loads of books! My Dad Nick is the best Dad anyone could ask for! He’s kind, loving and of course, funny!

The idea of ‘only one rule’ doesn’t in fact mean only one rule. It is a carry forward from childhood. My dad and uncles used to take all the kids aged 7+ camping on an island in Georgian Bay and when the last boat of tourists would leave the island for the night, and we would be left alone occupying the handful of overnight campsites, the bearded dads would shout ‘there is only one rule…’ to which the kids would reply ‘there are no rules!!!’

There were in fact rules, lots of them, but the idea that there were no rules gave us the freedom to explore, create, witness and question the world without (what seemed at the time) boundaries – we were free of the constraints of everyday life…it was pure magic. The curiosity and joy that this created is something that we want to bring forward.
